3896 KG

Located along the serene coastline, the Whitburn Coastal Conservation Centre stands as a symbol of sustainable architecture.

Covering more than 160 square meters, this innovative structure is constructed with Pretty Plastic's First One tiles. Crafted from 100% recycled PVC plastic, these tiles offer both durability and visual allure while championing the preservation of our planet's natural resources.

MawsonKerr Architects, in collaboration with contractor Arcas, brought this vision to life, with a total of 3,896 kilograms of waste upcycled in the process. Together they designed and built a centre where the different shades of Grey gloom in front of the sea. As you explore the centre, you'll discover a space where thoughtful design, and the different shades of Grey, intersect with the environment, inspiring a profound connection with nature and fostering a commitment to sustainable living.

Experience the beauty of environmentally conscious design firsthand by visiting the Whitburn Coastal Conservation Centre.
